With 2022 fast approaching, I was working out the best way to start January strong and with the right mindset. I know run streaks aren’t for everyone, but if you have followed my journey you will know that they work wonders for me.
ocal races to keep the legs ticking over was the way. When I saw that Teens Unite had a 5km Santa Dash organised and it was local to me, I knew that I had to sign up…not just me though, oh no I had to get the family involved too.
The big question is, what are my 2021 goals? With 2020 firmly behind us, and the year that brought me two wonderful run streaks, one stopped by isolation and one stopped by contacting COVID-19.
Before the pandemic caused me to isolate for 12 days, I had been running everyday for 97 days non-stop. With isolation nearly over and time is coming for me to restart the run streak, with some people asking about the streak a fair bit, why I’m doing it? If I’m trying to prove something? What’s the goal? What is the motivation? I thought it would be best to explain on a video.
