The London Aquatics Centre has seen some incredible events since the Olympics back in 2012, the whole reason the venue was built. On April 13th the venue will see Olympians take part in races at the venue once again, as Britain’s triple Olympic medalist Jonny Brownlee and GB’s most successful female triathlete, Georgia Taylor-Brown, take part in the exciting supertri E World Triathlon Championship, powered by Zwift.
You may be thinking how can a triathlon take place in just a pool setting? Well, thanks to Zwift it is all possible, the athletes will Swim – Bike – Run // Run – Bike – Swim // Swim – Bike – Run, with a pursuit start in stage 3, with the bike and run part through Zwift. With huge screens broadcasting all of the action, live MCs, and plenty of entertainment it should make for an action-packed event. If you’ve never witnessed a race before and how nail-bitingly close they are, this will get you on the edge of your seat.
