With a new year comes new goals, new challenges, and, of course, a fresh lineup of races to look forward to. From classic road runs to exciting new challenges like Hyrox, 2025 will shape up to be a year of pushing boundaries and enjoying every step (and maybe a few stumbles) along the way.
This year’s calendar isn’t just about ticking off miles; it’s about embracing the adventure, testing my limits, and soaking in the camaraderie that comes with every start line. Whether it’s running through iconic city streets or tackling something a little outside my comfort zone, I can’t wait to share the journey with you. Let’s dive into what’s ahead!
6th April – London Landmarks Half Marathon
London Landmarks is hands down one of the best half marathons in central London—if not the best. Set against the backdrop of some of the city’s most iconic sights, it’s a race that brings the energy of the city to life, from bustling streets to historic landmarks. The route offers a unique and vibrant blend of architecture, culture, and history that only London can provide.
What makes London Landmarks so special for me, though, is the personal connection. It’s not just another race—it holds some of my most cherished memories. It’s where I set my current PB, and in 2024, I had the incredible experience of running it with the glorious Katie. She completely changed the course of my race plan (literally!), and the story of how that unfolded is one I’ll never forget. You can read all about that unexpected turn of events here.
The whole experience left me with a sense of accomplishment and joy that I can’t wait to relive in 2025. I’m already looking forward to being back on that course and soaking in that same feeling of wholesome fulfilment.
7th September – The Big Half
With the London Marathon becoming increasingly difficult to get into, The Big Half has quickly become an incredible alternative for anyone looking to experience the thrill of running across Tower Bridge. Trust me, there’s truly no feeling like it—the energy, the iconic sights, and the rush of running through such a historic spot is something every runner should experience at least once in their lifetime.
What made my 2024 race even more memorable was the fact that I wasn’t alone. I had the absolute pleasure of running alongside my good friends Bea and Ben. We even brought a speaker with us, and let me tell you, the vibes were electric. From start to finish, the music kept us going and the laughter was nonstop. The whole experience was one of those that you can only fully appreciate when shared with great friends.

28th September – Ealing Half Marathon
In 2024, I had the privilege of running the Ealing Half for the first time, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The community atmosphere was nothing short of magical—far surpassing some of the larger, more central races I’ve participated in. From start to finish, the energy was infectious.
What stood out most was the incredible support along the course. With so many locals taking part, it felt like the entire community had come together to celebrate the day. The streets were lined with families, kids waving homemade signs, and neighbors cheering as if they knew every runner personally. It wasn’t just applause—it was heartfelt encouragement that pushed me through the tougher miles.
By the time I crossed the finish line, I knew this wasn’t going to be a one-time event for me. The sense of belonging, the electric energy, and the flawless organization made it an easy decision—I signed up for 2025 within a week of finishing.
