RACE NEWS: Royal Parks Half Marathon Ballot is now OPEN

This morning the ballot for the 2020 Royal Parks Half Marathon has official opened, the prestigious closed road race takes in the absolutely beautiful scenery of my home city London. Taking you through four of the eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

I’ve done the race many times and each time has been a different experience, from chasing times to taking in the scenery, and last year running it side by side with my partner in crime George (Fitcetera). Each time coming away with new memories that will remain with me forever. 2019 stood out, because of crossing that line with my daughter and George right next to me, seeing the smile on Evie’s face as she accepted my medal will never get old.

The 2020 Royal Parks Half Marathon presented by Royal Bank of Canada, is on Sunday October 11, in its 13th year the event will see 16,000 runners taking to the city streets with around 75% of those running taking part to raise funds for causes close to their hearts. Since the race came to life in 2008, a mammoth sum of nearly 50 million pounds has been raised, I mean come on now that is impressive alone.
